The program has become VERY popular and I know that some of you find yourself in dire straits so I am working 24/7 to get your resumes to you as soon as possible. I want to be able to give everyone the best resume possible and I am working as fast as possible.

If you are not prepared to answer questions pertaining to your resume in a timely manner you may want to delay your request until you are ready, as the more time I have to spend chasing information and re-writing documents due to incorrect or incomplete information the longer your fellow veterans have to wait for their resumes. If you send different versions of your resume, please make sure the dates, job titles, and duties match up. I have had difficulty with the confusion caused by opposing, incomplete, and unclear information. If you send multiple resumes where the information differs, please write down the dates and job positions on a separate document in the order you wish for them to appear on your finished product. REMEMBER, a good resume depends on the correct information and communication...this is a collaborative effort and by not doing your part your chances of getting the job you deserve may be negatively affected. Since I am working alone on so many documents I'm sure you can understand the crucial need for things to run smoothly. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation, and thanks to all of you who have played a considerate and active role in the creation of your resume. Let's work together to make this program a success that benefits all of you...you deserve it.

You can download the questionnaire at the bottom of the page or simply cut and paste from this page. If you will be sending a past resume you, of course, may disregard any questions addressed by your resume...but please, make sure the information is covered completely by checking your resume before returning your questionnaire. Please DO NOT send a bunch of documents in place of the questionnaire. The questionnaire was designed to make it easier and faster to complete resumes. The more time I have to search for information, the longer you (and fellow veterans) have to wait for your resume. It will also cause me to have to work even longer hours to get back on schedule. I'm sure you can understand the importance of keeping ontop of things when only one person is writing hundreds of resumes without any days off.

Please answer the questions ON the actual questionnaire instead of cutting and pasting your information into the body of an email, but attach the completed document TO your email. Information can become jumbled and confusing using cut and paste, as the format changes drastically, and important information may be overlooked. Thank you for helping to make my already demanding task a bit easier and expedient, allowing me to spend more time on your resume and to be able to help your fellow veterans in a timely manner. (PLEASE SEND ONLY WORD/.DOC OR .TXT DOCUMENTS).

What You Need to Know First

Would You Like To Help?

  • What can you do to help veterans and Free Resumes for Veterans (FR4V)?

    • We are always in need of volunteers, monetary contributions, and free services in the areas of:

      • Job Placement Networking

        • Our Career Coach will need be experienced in the business world and can offer valuable perspective, advice, encouragement, and can be contacted directly by clients from the website by email and telephone. The coach will provide support through structured conversations, offer techniques to organize clients to remain on a productive schedule, employment preparation and counseling, locating vocational training, evaluating progress and conducting client needs assessments, career advancement strategies, and engaging potential employers in the community to build and develop relationships to facilitate client job placement opportunities. One thing that will make things a bit easier is that resumes can be forwarded to me with a few here and there being sent to you for simple evaluation. I just retained another certified resume writer (Hopefully we can bring on more in the future) as well, so hopefully we can begin helping more veterans. My goal is to provide veterans with all of the free assistance in one location during their transition to civilian life...real help, and not just links to articles with suggestions which can be horribly confusing to those already under a great deal of stress due to a significant life change. I would like to be able to offer a custom transition package to each veteran with all of the services they require in a caring, comfortable, and confident environment they have earned...as if speaking to friends.
